Automations I've set up in my teaching business
Instead of spending lots of money on digital tools to run your teaching business, you can set up your own automations. Let me show you how I have a fully automated client sheet as well as a signature app.

For a long time, I looked at different tools that could automate the admin side of my business: creating contracts, creating records of work and other documents, sending automatic reminders for tests and evaluations. I tried Digiforma (which is not made for organisations that do a lot of individual training) and looked at a couple of other options such as Keyro, but in the end decided that I would just carry on with my assistant and me manually creating everything.
Then one day I told someone "I'd just like to be able to click a button and all the documents automatically come out", and that person said, "Well you can do that with a google apps script." Our back office was already 100% in google workspace, and as I'm a bit of a geek, I decided to investigate. I found out that AI is excellent at coding, and as long as you have some basic knowledge, and you know the workflow you are looking for, it's a very powerful tool.
For a long time, we also had no way of collecting signatures for online classes: apps such as Edusign are very expensive once you have several trainers and lots of participants. I searched for a long time for an option that worked in a business where you can't define all the training dates in advance, and ended up trying to create my own using AI. This proved rather complicated and eventually I paid someone to finish what I'd started.
In these two videos, you can see how my automated client sheet and my signatures app work!
